 Yunnan authorities arrange free ride for migrant workers to resume work

As of Sunday, about half of the province's migrant workers had returned to work.
On Sunday, a county opened its very first live-streaming job fair via video link. Endorsed by some influential local media, more than 50 enterprises joined the job fair, offering up to 10,000 positions to migrant workers.
Moreover, local authorities in another county sent buses to pick up about 1,500 migrant workers from their homes to their work places. In addition, migrant workers received free epidemic prevention and control supplies and daily living allowances from the government to help them to minimize the expenses on road.
"We've signed labor cooperation agreements with Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Fujian and other provinces and cites at the government level. We've established a joint working mechanism to help migrant workers get stable jobs and receive payment in time and get other services such as protecting their tights," said Shi Likang, deputy director of the Human Resources and Social Security Department of Yunnan Province.
